We do not collect fruit until ordered, so it will be picked from the tree the morning after the order date, except for orders placed on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, which will be picked the following Monday and dispatched immediately, barring bad weather.
If the weather conditions do not allow the fruit to be harvested on the scheduled day (it must be dry for good conservation), we will pick and ship on the first working day with favourable weather. Any weather problems will be notified to you.
Shipping contracted by Brines Organic Fruits is a 24/48-hour (working days) delivery service. However, incidents may occur beyond our control that may delay delivery. If you experience a delay, please advise us so we can resolve the situation as soon as possible.
The Customer Area on our website allows you to check your tracking number for each package sent. In addition, the shipper carrier usually emails you with the relevant information (check in your spam if you haven’t received emails before). If you have shipping problems, contact us and we will strive to resolve the issue.
Should you receive a box in poor condition due to transport, please indicate this on your delivery note, sign it and accept delivery, but take a photo and email us at info@brinesorganicfruits.com indicating in the subject line “Shipping claim". In your email, briefly describe the defects you have found, attach your photos and indicate whether you want us to send you a new order or refund your payment.
If for any other reason our oranges are not to your liking, contact us and we will offer you a solution.
You should remove them from their box so that they are properly aired. They can be stored in a cool, dry place at room temperature, wrapped in newspaper or in the refrigerator. Check the condition of your fruit often, in case any damages are see. Remove damaged or spoilt fruit immediately to prevent others from sustaining damage.
In our experience, most mandarins and clementines stay in good condition for up to 20 days after harvest, and most oranges and lemons up to 30 days, and sometimes longer. Nevertheless, this does not mean that some fruit may show signs of damage sooner. Brines citrus fruits are organic and therefore we do not apply chemical products after harvest, nor have they been stored in cold stores, so they will arrive at your home fresh. But fruit is natural, and some pieces may have defects and may spoilt earlier. It's their naturalness that makes them so good!
If you see any damage to the peel, and you think you won't be able to eat them in time, you can freeze their juice and use it in smoothies or ice cream!
For your own health and the health of the planet. And out of respect for the natural environment.
Certified organic fruit means only healthy and environmentally friendly products are used; the periods between its application and harvest are respected, and no post-harvest products are used. Therefore, you can safely eat all of the fruit, and even use the peel, which you can simply wash with water.
